Great cast that you instantly feel attached to. The way the eye is directed is pretty solid, good editing, directing, & good camera work. Great story, music, SFX, dialogue, Aussie lingo. I've been looking to travel around my location more, and this inspires me in many ways for sure.

Synopsis
Devastated when girlfriend Jasmine turns down his proposal to marry, Jake walks all-but-naked up the Indian Ocean coast for charity. He is driven by media scoundrel Brian King's 200k incentive to complete the walk and an ulterior motive to prove his worth to Jasmine. The walk makes Jake a celebrity, which appeals to Jasmine, but it's too late. Jake has fallen for mesmerizing backpacker Valerie. A spiteful Jasmine flies in and declares she will marry Jake after all. Jake turns Jasmine down but then Valerie vanishes.

Silly, harmless fun
So is this movie going to win Best Picture? No. But you can certainly sit through worse (I have!)
The story is kind of ridiculous, but the lead actor is adorable and charming. Fun to watch things develop with the female characters, even if they are predictable. And then there's John Cleese, who as far as I'm concerned would be funny reading medical bills. Throw in some shots of Jake's fabulous ass, and you've got a pleasantly entertaining way to spend an hour and a half.

Halfway through this film I was sufficiently inspired enough to get up off the sofa and book my car in for its annual MoT which unfortunately only took five minutes leaving me with another 40 minutes of the film.
