Ivy Allen (Toby Poser) is a medium who has lost her sight but still practices the Tarot business. Her goth fourteen-year-old daughter Echo (Zelda Adams ) likes to sled in upstate New York. Kurt Miller (John Adams ) their neighbor is restoring a house. He eats out all the time, drinks, drives a truck, and doesn't slow down when he sees deer crossing the road. He runs into Echo and has issues burying the body in frozen ground. He is haunted like a Poe story. Mom feels that her daughter is dead and highly suspects Kurt. It is time to get her mojo back.
This was an interesting and well-done film for a low budget indie. The acting was good. The plot was fresher than most.

Synopsis
Ivy and Echo are not your typical mother-daughter team. Ivy, once an intuitive psychic, makes an easy buck as a bogus tarot card reader; 14-year-old Echo likes old-timey music, hunting, and black lipstick. When reclusive Kurt moves down the road to restore an abandoned farmhouse, an accident leads to Echo's murder, and suddenly three lives collide in mysterious and wicked ways. Kurt assumes he can hide his secret under the ground. But Echo burrows into his head until he can feel her in his bones. As she haunts his every move, trying to reach her mother from beyond, Ivy must dig deep to see the signs and prove that love won't stay buried.

Tell my mother what you did
Excellent thriller/horror with a whole new style.
You get sick of the same old pap from Hollywood with no new ideas or style. Then along comes this little film from a 3 person family who blow Hollywood out of the water. Now I'm going to be realistic and say while the dialogue was fantastic, the editing needs a wee bit work as a few places I felt the pace started to drag. It didn't ruin the film but was noticeable. The acting was as good as you'd want without being oscar worthy, and the score was nothing short of excellent. The filming, you'd think it had been done by a Hollywood heavyweight. Aside from all this...the story was immersive and engaging. I really enjoyed this I hope they make another one.
Textured Minimalist Phantasm Theosophist Horror
Sometimes a shoestring budget acts not as a restraint, but a liberating expression of "old-fashioned" concepts like well done cinematography, sparse sets and spare dialog.
If you are looking for a big budget lurch fest, keep steppin'.
This is an intimate imagining of the theme of bonds that exceed time, distance and mortality.
(Not forgetting an important PSA for the safe storage of power tools on a work site)
